Mission Statement
Ministry Purpose
The Ohio Laymen Fellowship Ministy follows the pattern
laid by the National Laymen Movement of the National Baptist Convention, USA,
Inc.
Mission Statement
To cultivate the Christian life of laymen (non -clergy) through study,
worship, fellowship and service. To enlist un-churched men for fellowship in and
service through the church and to bring unsaved men into vital relations with
God in Christ through personal commitment to Him.
The Ohio Laymen
Fellowship will strive to meet the various assignments delegated by our
leadership, as well as those give to us by God. We will continue to develop the
firm foundation that has been set before us. We will strive to be meaningful and
purposeful in all that we do. This will be accomplished by as we are led by the
Holy Spirit and compelled by His love!
"Be on guard; stand firm in
your faith (in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound). Act
like (mature) men and be courageous; be strong. Let everything you do be done in
love (motivated and inspired by God's love for us). 1st Corinthians 16:13 AMP
Objectives
Our objectives will be short and long range in nature as well as attainable.
These objectives will be reviewed periodically to make necessary adjustments
when needed.
1. To cultivate in men
a deeper understanding of the Christian walk-through study,
worship fellowship and workshops.
2.
Through various outreach activities we will strive to reach out to unsaved men
in
our
respective congregations and respective communities. Introduce them to
Chris and help them understand the importance of giving their life to Christ or
renewing
their fellowship with a church in their community.
3. To cooperate with our respective Pastors, the Ohio Laymen Fellowship officers
pledge to
stimulate the work of the Church which is the body of Christ.
4. To serve in various community organizations to help make an impact on our
communities.
